More money than I'll ever see.

More money than my kid's college fund, if we ever start one.

I’m sitting here with a splitting headache.

Another Saturday down the drain.

Or was it Friday night?

Hard to tell.

My kid wanted to play catch yesterday.

I told him maybe later.

Later never came.

Now I gotta explain that to his mom.

She'll give me the look.

The one that says, "You're a useless piece of shit."

She’s not wrong.

So yeah, baseball.

Two teams.

Rich guys hitting a ball.

Billionaire owners.

Millions for the players.

Meanwhille, I'm trying to figure out if I have enough cash for a decent cup of coffee or if it's gonna be instant again.

Instant coffee tastes like regret.

Which is fitting.

I bet these ballplayers don't know what instant coffee tastes like.

Bet they got personal baristas.

Probably got people to wipe their asses.

Good for them.

I wipe my own ass.

Most days.

Sometimes my kids gotta remind me to flush.

Parenting is glamorous.

So while everyone’s buzzing about who won, who lost, whatever.

I’m just trying to remember where I left my Advil.

And if I have any clean socks.

My life is less about home runs and more about just getting through the next inning.

Or the next hour.

Whatever comes first.
