Barrett and Kagan Hearings: More Bullshit to Ignore

So, the internet’s all buzzing about Barrett and Kagan. Hearings. Yawn.

Like I give a shit about what those two say.

They got jobs.

Good jobs.

Jobs where they sit around, pretend to be smart, and make decisions that probably fuck me over anyway.

Meanwhile, I'm over here trying to figure out if I have enough gas to get to work.

And if I have enough Tylenol for this headache.

Which, by the way, is a direct result of trying to not think about important high-minded bullshit.

But no. The internet wants me to care.

About their hearings.

What did they say? Who cares? Did they promise free beer? No? Then shut up.

My kid asked for a pony this morning. That's a hearing I'm actually involved in. That's real world shit.

My boss wants those TPS reports done yesterday. Another pressing hearing.

These judges. They get to pontificate. They get to look serious. They probably don't even have to deal with school lunches or explaining why daddy needs 'quiet time' with a bottle of cheap whiskey and the TV remote.

Imagine that.

Your whole job is to talk. And listen to other people talk. About important things. That you've probably already decided on anyway.

Must be nice.

Almost as nice as waking up without feeling like a badger nested in your skull.

Almost.

So yeah. Barrett. Kagan. Hearings. Whatever.
